We are a natural extension of your studio. At Mão de Fogo, we believe every sculpture begins with a creative spark—a sketch in a notebook, an improvised maquette or a drawing on a simple piece of paper.

In a calm rural environment in Portugal, we transform visionary ideas into real sculptures, with time, method and respect for artistic intent. From our atelier, we support projects for clients and institutions across Europe and internationally.

We work side by side with artists from the first conversation to the final detail. Over more than two decades, we have learned that sculpture production is about building trust: listening, testing, adjusting and protecting the essence of each work, even when scale or context bring complex demands.

Our atelier becomes a continuation of the artist’s creative space. Here, sculpture production gains structure without losing poetry: we define stages, materials, scale and constraints, while keeping artistic intention as a constant reference.

We listen carefully to each vision and collaborate throughout every phase, proposing tailored technical solutions and production plans. When necessary, we anticipate structural, mounting or urban constraints so the work performs safely and coherently over time.

The goal is simple: to let the artist focus on creation while we handle technical and production development. Planning, prototypes, casting, finishes and, when applicable, transport and installation are treated as one integrated process.

We combine craft techniques with technological support. 3D scanning, 3D printing and CNC tools help us digitise, prototype and enlarge sculptures with precision, speeding up decisions and validating proportions—without replacing the experienced eye and hand.

These tools make it easier to translate physical maquettes or digital models into any scale, preserving proportions, textures and detail. A small model can become a large‑scale public artwork while maintaining its original expressiveness and enabling predictable execution.
