8 At Mão de Fogo, we do not work only with metal—we work with ideas, visions and emotions. Our path began in artistic foundry practice, alongside sculptors and architects who challenged us to give form to the invisible.

From our atelier in Portugal, set in a calm rural environment, we develop architectural and interior projects for Europe and internationally, bringing together craft tradition and technological precision with discretion and rigour.

Through continuous dialogue with art, we learned to listen to materials. Each alloy has its own voice, texture and memory, revealed by fire, time and the hand that shapes it.

We understand that metal can feel cold to the touch yet be powerful in presence. That a wall can tell a story, a handle can become a small sculpture, and a façade can express identity without words.

Today, we bring this sensibility to artistic metal cladding and bespoke decorative elements. We create living surfaces that hold light, engage with space and age with dignity, in residential, cultural, hospitality and tourism projects.

The tradition of our craft meets contemporary design. We produce furniture and decorative pieces—tables, panels, handles, lighting elements and one‑off works—where foundry, metalwork and finishing become a material language.

Technology supports precision and repeatability when required. 3D scanning, 3D printing and CNC tools allow us to prototype, test proportions and secure accurate geometries, particularly in series, large surfaces or architectural integration.

Each project is rooted in creative collaboration. We work with architects and designers who seek more than a product—they seek character, identity and material presence, developed with time, attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
