Bronze Chairs
[6]

About the Project:
Bronze Chairs is a sculptural project based on the bronze reproduction of a reduced-scale model of an ordinary plastic chair, conceived by the artist as an object of formal and conceptual reference.
For the execution of the project, the artist provided a digital 3D model, which served as the foundation for the entire production process. Mão de Fogo was responsible for the technical preparation and production of the bronze pieces, using 3D printing with a filament specifically developed for foundry applications.
This approach made it possible to eliminate several traditional production stages, namely the creation of silicone moulds and wax reproductions, resulting in a significant reduction in production costs without compromising the final quality of the sculpture.
The project demonstrates Mão de Fogo’s ability to integrate digital technologies into artistic foundry processes, adapting production methodologies to the artist’s requirements and the project’s economic constraints.
