L'INNOMMABLE FEUILLE DE...

L'Innommable Feuille de... is a sculptural project developed by sculptor Rui Chafes, consisting of small sculptures modelled by hand in a particularly fragile material. The delicate nature of the original pieces presented significant challenges in terms of conservation and long-term preservation.

With the aim of safeguarding the integrity of the artworks, Mão de Fogo was responsible for developing the entire technical process required for their reproduction in bronze. The work began with the creation of moulds capable of accurately capturing the details of the original sculptures, enabling their subsequent casting through the lost-wax process.

Following casting, each element was carefully finished and patinated, respecting the formal expressiveness and sensitivity present in the artist’s original creations. The translation into bronze provided durability while preserving the essential characteristics of the original works.

This project demonstrates Mão de Fogo’s expertise in reproducing delicate artworks and transforming fragile models into permanent sculptures, ensuring both the preservation of artistic heritage and fidelity to the artist’s vision.
