San Vicente de Paul

San Vicente de Paul is a bronze sculpture by Spanish sculptor Gamero Gil, created as a tribute to Saint Vincent de Paul, a figure renowned for his dedication to helping those most in need and for his contribution to Christian social work.

Mão de Fogo was responsible for the technical execution of the bronze casting process, transforming the original model into a permanent work intended for public display. The project included all stages of production, from casting preparation to final finishing and patination.

Particular attention was given to the faithful reproduction of the original modelling, preserving the expressiveness of the figure, its anatomical accuracy, and the symbolic elements associated with the representation of the saint. The chasing and finishing processes enhanced the sculptural details and reinforced the monumentality of the work.

Today, the sculpture is installed in Badajoz, where it forms part of the city’s artistic heritage and contributes to the enhancement of the urban environment through public art.

This project reflects Mão de Fogo’s experience in the production of religious and commemorative bronze sculpture, combining traditional artistic foundry techniques with the technical demands of contemporary monumental sculpture.
