Spatial Circles #1

Spatial Circles is a sculptural and spatial project developed through an interdisciplinary approach in which sculpture, architecture, and space are articulated as a coherent whole. The work explores circular forms as structuring elements, creating a dynamic relationship between volume, void, and the perception of the surrounding environment.

Conceived by architect Pedro Legér Pereira, the project stems from a reflection on repetition, rhythm, and scale, using the circle as a universal language and organisational element. The reading of the work changes according to the viewer’s position and the spatial context, reinforcing its experiential dimension.

Mão de Fogo supported the technical development and materialisation of the project, collaborating closely with the author in defining construction methods, selecting materials, and executing the various components. The work focused on formal precision and coherence between elements, ensuring fidelity to the original concept and technical feasibility in a real-world context.

Spatial Circles reflects Mão de Fogo’s ability to collaborate on architecturally driven and author-led projects, where sculpture becomes an extension of spatial thinking, demanding technical rigour, process coordination, and a sensitive understanding of the creator’s intentions.
