Via Sacra

[1]

About the Project:

Via Sacra is a religious sculptural project that interprets a series of key scenes from the Christian tradition, translated into material form through sculpture and relief. The project required a careful balance between iconographic accuracy, artistic expression, and technical feasibility.

The approach focused on the formal development of the different Stations, respecting the narrative and symbolism associated with each moment while maintaining visual and material coherence throughout the entire ensemble. Mão de Fogo accompanied the project in close collaboration with the author, providing the technical support required for the development and production of the works.

The process involved modelling, mould making, and production techniques adapted to the serial nature of the project, ensuring formal consistency, clarity of interpretation, and material durability. The selection of technical solutions considered not only aesthetic qualities but also the context in which the work would be experienced and its long-term preservation.

This project reflects Mão de Fogo’s experience in supporting works of symbolic and cultural significance, where technical expertise and respect for cultural content are essential to the creation of a coherent and enduring sculptural ensemble.
